Mobileyes will provide peer-to-peer mobile application with counselor workflows across SyncDog’s HIPAA-compliant SentinelSecure™ mobile architecture framework, creating an integrated solution for secure messaging, notifications and data logging.
Reston, VA, August 15, 2015 – SyncDog, Inc., the leading ISV for mobile application containerization and IoT module management, today announced Phase I of a comprehensive HIPAA-compliant workflow and messaging platform that allows mental health counselors and patients to communicate across mobile devices and tablets, with workflow templates designed specifically for counselors. The comprehensive mental health platform, SentinelSecure™ Mental Health Manager or MHM, will be deployed as a cloud-based application across the FIPS 140-2 compliant, SentinelSecure™ framework, a secure mobility IT infrastructure with secure containerized workspace that segments personal applications from corporate applications and data. Within the partnership, Mobileyes Consulting will facilitate as principle architect of the codebase for the MHM application that will connect mental health counselors with patients, improving communications and putting the patient in closer proximity to their healthcare providers.
“Mental healthcare services have, for a long time now, taken a back seat to other healthcare services,” said Jonas Gyllensvaan, SyncDog president and CEO. “However, the recent outbreak of mass shootings and other acts of violence, have U.S. political leaders asking if we are doing enough to support mental healthcare as a preventative measure. Counseling Centers of New England (CCNE) are certainly leaders in this cause and SyncDog wants to help by providing a vehicle for greater patient outcomes.”
Counseling Centers of New England (CCNE), with offices in Avon and Manchester, Connecticut, offers comprehensive evaluations and treatment for patients dealing with a wide range of mental health and substance abuse issues. In addition to traditional therapeutic services in the mental health system, CCNE provides Millennium Pharmacogenetic Testing (PGT) and Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing (EMDR), and also offers patients TelePsychotherapy, real-time video conferencing therapy.
Mobileyes Consulting is well established in the Canadian government and healthcare industries, and is the Canadian distribution partner for SyncDog. Based in Ottawa, Mobileyes Consulting is a 100% Canadian-owned private corporation that has been creating and distributing digital content for more than 14 years.
“We are pleased to once again be working with SyncDog and CCNE to improve mental health patient outcomes in such an innovative and creative way,” said John MacBeth, Mobileyes Consulting’s CEO. “I truly believe that uniting patient and counselor in an HIPAA-compliant mobile platform will revolutionize not just the mental healthcare industry, but the medical industry as a whole.”
Phase I of the deployment will consist of installing SyncDog’s mobility infrastructure framework along with the containerized solution SentinelSecure™, which is FIPS 140-2 compliant and has AES 256-bit encryption. Within the container, SyncDog will install the MHM peer-to-peer messaging system. The framework will support both Android and iPhone operating systems and will be the engine that runs the HIPAA-compliant application that Mobileyes Consulting is currently coding.
Phase II will consist of the installation of the MHM application on top of the SentinelSecure™ framework. MHM will be equipped with counselor workflows for patient care and will be integrated into CCNE’s Electronic Medical Records, or EMR, system. Messaging will flow through the platform in a secure HIPAA-compliant peer-to-peer system that will also provide event auditing for compliance and alerts and notifications for medical staff. Additionally, the platform will be a conduit for medical log data for CCNE and insurance companies to do predictive patient trending and analyses.
Concurrent with Phase II deployment, SyncDog and Mobileyes Consulting will continue to build out mobile applications for deployment across the MHM platform. Phase I will be completed in January 2016 and the platform will be generally available to mental health facilities sometime in the first quarter of 2016.
