It’s great to be back home after a whirlwind of great information gathered in San Francisco, CA at Mobile First 2016. For those who are still processing, two big stories from Mobile First 2016 showcased that companies are starting to prioritize security in conjunction with their EMM deployments. First, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S6 will support Android for work and announced that MobileIron will provide the security. Second, Uber, a company that wouldn’t exist without mobile, announced that they will use MobileIron’s EMM to not only manage but to protect data on the phones they provide to drivers. Given that mobile data traffic has continually increased with a 74% rise from 2014 to 2015, it doesn’t surprise us that Samsung and Uber are taking mobile security seriously and recognizing it as a much needed compliment to their EMM strategies.
Mobile First 2016 featured keynote speakers from Apple, Google, and AT&T and smaller panel discussions with one notable security panel featuring MobileIron’s James Plouffe, James Saturino, and Peter Horrigan. Given that MobileIron is the #1 mobile security provider and announced some impressive partnerships mentioned above, we were honored to be invited to showcase and do live demonstrations of our recent collaboration with MobileIron; a military-grade secure workspace (container) to be incorporated into their EMM. If you missed the conference but would like to learn how we can protect your data click here. Or you may contact us for a live demonstration of SyncDog’s SentinelSecure™ mobile workstation. We thank MobileIron for a fantastic conference and look forward to next year’s event.
